description Dentro del aula de clase sin duda alguna la relación docente estudiante es fundamental en el ámbito educativo, y de esto depende que se logre los objetivos trazados, y los resultados esperados en el proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje. Al no encontrarse un interés en esa relación, se pueden generar peligrosas consecuencias como por ejemplo la pérdida del control, el desestimulo por parte de los estudiantes, es así que nace la necesidad de poner en la práctica docente lo humanista y lo académico. Por lo anterior es interesante abordar el pensamiento pedagógico de San Agustín, y es así como a través del presente trabajo se hace una muestra de su filosofía en el campo de la educación, donde involucra la pretensión de enseñar por parte del docente, y menciona que la visión de ese maestro hacia los estudiantes sea aceptable y tolerante y promover a los estudiantes el gozo de querer aprender, gestando un proceso sosegado y agradable, donde el aprendizaje se aparte del dolor y la desesperanza y sea por el contrario una oportunidad de ser en sí mismo y constituirse en vocero de esperanza y humanismo.
