En éste trabajo se analizaron las falencias que se presentan en las políticas estatales en el sector arrocero en Colombia que afectan la producción del mismo, y se compararon con las experiencias de Brasil por su dependencia en el sector, con el fin de generar una posible propuesta de mejora. Para comprender estas problemáticas, se identificaron las variables más influyentes como lo son los daños causados por el inminente cambio climático, la inversión en tecnología y las políticas públicas que apoyan al sector arrocero, las cuales, con un buen manejo pueden generar un mejoramiento en la productividad. Los resultados demuestran que Brasil es fuerte en producción, debido al apoyo estatal y a entidades no gubernamentales, lo que lo hace un buen competidor, y por lo tanto permite identificar las prácticas necesarias para optimizar el cultivo de arroz en el país, de manera que los procesos sean más eficientes tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. |

To understand these problems, the most influential variables were identified, such as the damage caused by the imminent climate change, the investment in technology and the public policies that support the rice sector, which, with good management, can generate an improvement in the productivity.
