Lo anterior implica, entre otras acciones, integrar posturas encontradas respecto al patrimonio, determinar quiénes son los expertos relevantes y definir cuáles deben ser las decisiones públicas que garanticen el futuro del patrimonio. En el capítulo se entiende el patrimonio, más que como una serie de objetos estáticos, como un proceso patrimonial con un importante componente colectivo que es, por naturaleza, dinámico.This chapter presents the relationship between heritage and urban design, in a cultural context where a modernist perspective is moving a sustainable perspective in terms of the social design of the environment and the process of forming the heritage. This implies, among other actions, integrating conflicting positions on the heritage, determining who the relevant experts are and defining what public decisions should be that guarantee the future of the heritage.
