Considering the main historiography’s schools and their insertion inside de social and scientific context througth the time, following to close the experts opinions about the topic in discussion and explaining that besides the history’s times are totally different these always are going to be connected.Este artículo pretende explicar el desarrollo de la historiografía occidental en el siglo pasado, sus proyecciones en el presente siglo y la forma como se ha aplicado al caso colombiano, todo ello para saber cuál debe ser el papel del historiador en los tiempos actuales.
