Description
Summary:0is research analyzes the in1uence of the expansion of the o2er of technical and technological careers, the salary expectations of the students and the university reputation on the decision to choose the professional career. 0e study focused on the Industrial Engineering Program, using secondary information on salaries, the population and the number of students enrolled. 0e analysis period covers the years 2007 - 2015. Conclusions reveal that although there are no signi+cant di2erences in the salaries of recent graduates of industrial engineering, the graduates of the most expensive universities tend to earn salaries signi+cantly higher than the graduates of other universities with the passage of time. However, the high investment that must be made for studies, makes the rates of return are much lower than for the rest of universities.
