description This research analyzes the factors that determine learning when teaching focuses on the development of competences. The study was carried out during the academic year 2016-02 in the Seminar on Research and Development of the Sergio Arboleda University, where inverted teaching was used as a methodology and a linear regression model was defined to evaluate learning. The results show that when the teacher provides feedback, students adjust more easily to the curricular objectives. Finally, it is observed that the quality of education is the determining factor in the process of competency development.
