Summary:Using as a starting point the concepts of education and pedagogy this research discusses them inthe context of society. Consequently, a first step in this statement is the analysis of the concepts ofeducation and pedagogy, their identity and diverse components. Finally, they are confronted with thesocial order, which is the factor that ultimately determines the educational entities. During the researchthe philosophical component acted as an envelope and provided as background a notion of educationcurrently supported by the worldview of society in our time. The final part presents the resultingbalance from this educational epistemology at the face of social challenges, understood here ascontextual spaces that place education as an important element in the globalization of culture and the democratization of knowledge.
