Description
Summary:Nowadays, the implementation of practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Governance in companies is rising progressively as a result of the pressure coming from the social environment and the development of entrepreneurial conscience. Therefore, this article shows the results of the field research named “Comparative study of practices of corporate social responsibility and corporate governance in companies in the Sugamuxi valley, in the department of Boyacá” displaying the most relevant aspects by stakeholder and the most applied practices by them. For this purpose, 150 surveys were applied to the stakeholders related to the 15 artisanal mines located in Morcá (Boyacá), inquiring first for the generalities of CSR and CG. Furthermore, the processes of Corporate Social Responsibility were characterized and the practices of Corporate Governance were identified. Regarding the methodology, the study method was descriptive - explanatory and the statistical technique was the descriptive analysis. This research demonstrate a low cultural level around CSR and CG issues with lack of real practices and the development of a culture about these topics.
