The Bank’s political weight in the functioning of the world economy has contributed to the development of international customs, increasing the political possibilities for the positioning of international standards on indigenous affairs. This paper aims to provide a brief glance to the evolution of the World Bank’s social responsibility practices on indigenous peoples, focusing in a critical analysis of its operational policies.
