Efectos de la innovación de la producción en pequeñas empresas de muebles de madera

The chapter contains the results of the research titled Performance Curve of SMEs Manufacturers of wooden furniture in the Colombian Caribbean region. In her the variables of management of the processes, production, the innovation and the environment were analyzed. The data was taken through a cross-sectional investigation, which allowed measuring the results in a defined population at a specific point in time. Statistical analyzes show what the current production situation is within companies in the furniture sector. In this way, based on the situation found in the sector, it is possible to identify opportunities to introduce innovations to the productive and organizational sphere that guarantee competitiveness in the national market. Situation that corresponds to the growth of markets and changes in the face of a new scenario of development at the economic level. In general terms, the effects brought to the Wood and Furniture Sector of the Caribbean Region, the innovations found, with their potentials, their weaknesses and relevant aspects were shown.
