Planeación logística en la distribución de material petrolero en Colombia

This paper discusses the importance of logistics planning in land transportation of oil material analyzing different studies about relevance of land transport as a factor of development and competitiveness and its implementation for oil services providers and specialized transport. Specific needs for security, times, cargo handling, reliability and flexibility lead to consider logistics planning, which tries to answer the questions what, when and how, and takes place at three levels: strategic, tactical and operational. The question is how to move oil material effectively and efficiently through the strategically planned logistics channel.
