Description
Summary:Civic Humanism relates a new way of thinking and living when it comes to politics: a humane wayof living in the city. It revindicates the human being and constitutes the profound theory and practice that focus on recuperating the essential dignity of humans as spiritual creatures, open to transcendence and in possession of an innate capacity to exercise free will. In other words, creators of human plenty. But for Civic Humanism, this plenty or good life is attainable only through the education offreedom that is attained through the acquisition of intellectual and ethical virtues; virtues that havebeen learned and exercised in the fertile environment of love and friendship.
