Description
Summary:The purpose of this article is to examine parliamentary activity related to the appointment of public officials. We propose a model of analysis that consists of organizing the different legal systems following the criterion of the form or mode in whic h parliaments act in this regard. The use of this criterion, instead of others such as the condition of the designated authority, responds to the thesis according to which each type of constitutional state (parliamentary system, presidential system, and se mi - presidential system) is associated with a form of parliamentary participation.
