Description
Summary:In this article, I suggest and defend the thesis that an alternative moral solution to the conflict between ìgreater societyî and indigenous communities in Colombia requires understanding that social conflict arises from the discontent produced among members of a group when their legitimate expectations of recognition are disappointed. I analyze two aspects of this problem: first, the problem of coexisting in a context of difference in Colombia, a discussion based on the interaction of indigenous communities and ìgreater society.î Second, the importance of Honnethís differentiated theory of recognition within the framework of the moral justification of recognition.
