Pathologies associated with the anatomical variations found in the aortic origin of the coronary arteries.

The anatomical variations in the aortic origin of the coronary arteries have a low prevalence, however, they are related to ischemia, infarction and death, the discovery of these variations is usually accidental and the form of diagnosis is not very clear, nor the clinic that precedes him; however,...

In this article, a review of the literature was made in order to identify the pathologies associated with the anomalies found in the origin of the coronary arteries and also about the anatomical variations in their origin. The information search was carried out through databases such as Academic Google, Pubmed, Hinari, Scielo and Science Direct. The anomalous anatomical origins of the coronary arteries were grouped into two categories: single coronary artery and coronary artery originating in the contralateral sinus. This makes it possible to highlight that a good knowledge of the normal and abnormal development of the coronary arteries could potentially help to explore new avenues in the treatment of ischemic heart disease, preventing infarction and early death. No. 2 (2022): Revista Salutem Scientia Spiritus; 42-49Salutem Scientia Spiritus; Vol. 8 Núm. 2 (2022): Revista Salutem Scientia Spiritus; 42-492463-1426Anomalía anatómicaArteria aortaArteria coronariaSeno aórticoVariación anatómicaAnatomical anomalyAnatomical veriationAortic arteryAortic sinusCoronary arteryPathologies associated with the anatomical variations found in the aortic origin of the coronary arteries.
