Similarly, the person can also establish the willingness or not to donate organs upon death. This publication pretend to help establish this advance directive document as a instrument of Biolaw for strengthening the doctor–patient relationship to bring back the therapeutic alliance model currently impaired.Hace poco más de un año, la Ley 1733 de 2014 introdujo en Colombia la figura del documento de voluntades anticipadas según la cual, en términos de su artículo 5 numeral 4, la persona capaz, sana o en estado de enfermedad, de manera voluntaria y en uso pleno de sus facultades legales y mentales, plasmará en aquél las decisiones sobre la aceptación o rechazo de tratamientos médicos en caso de atravesar una enfermedad terminal, crónica, degenerativa e irreversible, y sobre el acompañamiento que necesitará en esos momentos. De igual forma, también podrá plasmar la disposición o no a donar órganos en caso de muerte.
