In the Municipality of Bugalagrande there is an entity that provides health services called Hospital San Bernabé E.S.E.1, who within its processes generates hazardous and non-hazardous waste. In this particular case, the NTC ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) Standard will be referenced to raise awareness and make it known to the officials of the institution, which will allow its applicability and knowledge of it. Through a diagnosis, the necessary adjustments and recommendations are made for the ease of its development, which will allow obtaining sustainable development and continuous improvement, which manages to establish understandable parameters and easy to use for each and every one of the people who work in the institution. By knowing, understanding and managing these parameters, the institution will be able to use these regulations adjusted to the needs that exist in the entity, generating as a result said continuous improvement from the environmental point of view and the optimization of its resources.Con el manejo inadecuado que el hombre le ha dado a la parte ambiental, los gobiernos de los diferentes países han generado leyes y normas que permiten proteger el medio ambiente, agua y suelo, para el mejoramiento de la salud de los seres vivos. En el Municipio de Bugalagrande existe una entidad prestadora de servicios de salud denominada Hospital San Bernabé E.S.E.1, quien dentro sus procesos genera residuos peligrosos y no peligrosos. En este caso particular se va a referenciar la Norma NTC ISO 14001 Sistema de Gestión Ambiental (SGA), para sensibilizar y darla a conocer a los funcionarios de la institución, lo cual permitirá su aplicabilidad y conocimiento de ella. A través de un diagnostico se hacen los ajustes necesarios y las recomendaciones para la facilidad de su desarrollo, lo que permitirá obtener un desarrollo sostenible y una mejora continua, que logra establecer parámetros comprensibles y fáciles de utilizar para todos y cada uno de las personas que laboran en la institución. Mediante el conocimiento, comprensión y manejo de estos parámetros, la institución podrá utilizar esta normatividad ajustada a las necesidades que existen en la entidad, generando como resultado dicho mejoramiento continuo desde el punto de vista ambiental y la optimización de sus recursos.INTRODUCCIÓN / 1.
