Este se realizó bajo el enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte trasversal, cuya población objeto son los docentes de la Unidad Central del Valle, y la unidad de análisis son 129 docentes de la facultad de salud. Evaluados mediante una encuesta elaborada por los investigadores sometida a una prueba piloto. Los encuestados manifestaron enfrentar situaciones de estrés en el hogar con un 42.6%. Los problemas económicos y falta de tiempo libre fueron situaciones expuestas por los docentes, que aumentan sus niveles de estrés con un 54.5% y 47.5% respectivamente. Finalmente, los docentes perciben un exceso de actividades académicas en su jornada laboral con un 39.6%. Se concluye que los factores desencadenantes de estrés en docentes son principalmente situaciones de estrés vividos en sus hogares, problemas económicos y falta de tiempo libre, sin embargo, los docentes de la Facultad de Salud cuentan con factores protectores como: los docentes cuentan con una persona a quien acudir en situaciones angustiantes, también, se pudo establecer que compartir en familia es una actividad que les ayuda a minimizar el impacto del estrés laboral, y por último, se pudo discernir que los docentes manifiestan contar con un buen ambiente laboral, estos factores anteriormente mencionados son considerados elementos de gran beneficio para la salud mental de los docentes ayudando a prevenir factores estresantes a futuro.RESUMEN / TITULO / DESCRIPCION DEL PROBLEMA / 2. This was carried out under the quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach, whose target population is the teachers of the Central Unit of the Valley, and the unit of analysis is 129 teachers of the health faculty. Evaluated through a survey prepared by the researchers and subjected to a pilot test. Respondents reported facing stressful situations at home. Financial problems and lack of free time were two situations exposed by teachers, which increased their stress levels. Finally, teachers perceive an excess of academic activities in their work day.
