En busca de dicho fin, los investigadores que realizaron este documento, plantean una investigación que se abarcó desde el método cualitativo y a su vez desde un enfoque descriptivo. Todo lo anterior por medio de la implementación de una ruta de acción basada en el análisis bibliográfico de fuentes secundarías, las cuales, para efectos de este escrito, fueron todos los recursos bibliográficos que aborden el tema reglamentado en las leyes objeto de análisis, como las leyes mismas en su defecto. Avanzando en esa misma lógica, es más que razonable expresar que para lograr ese análisis comparativo propuesto, se contempló claramente tanto la Ley General de Protección de Datos de Colombia como el Reglamento General de Protección de Datos de la Unión Europea, así como todo el marco normativo predecesor de las mismas. Por otra parte, o más bien producto del desarrollo hasta aquí planteado, se pretendió identificar las similitudes y diferencias entre la Ley General de Protección de Datos de Colombia y el Reglamento General de Protección de Datos de la Unión Europea. Para terminar, se planteó tras todo lo abordado, esclarecer la necesidad o irrelevancia de la realización de ajustes a la Ley General de Protección de Datos de Colombia para estar acorde con los lineamientos internacionales. Como producto de todo ese desarrollo capitular, se culmina el informe con la presentación de algunas conclusiones propias de los investigadores tras todo el trabajo realizado y claramente, concordes o pertinentes con el tema propuesto.This research seeks to carry out a comparative analysis between the General Data Protection Law of Colombia and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union. In search of this end, the researchers who carried out this document, propose an investigation that was covered from the qualitative method and at the same time from a descriptive approach. All of the above through the implementation of an action route based on the bibliographic analysis of secondary sources, which, for the purposes of this writing, were all bibliographic resources that address the subject regulated in the laws under analysis, such as laws themselves failing that. Advancing in the same logic, it is more than reasonable to express that in order to achieve this proposed comparative analysis, both the General Data Protection Law of Colombia and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union were clearly contemplated, as well as the entire framework normative predecessor of the same. On the other hand, or rather a product of the development so far raised, it was intended to identify the similarities and differences between the General Data Protection Law of Colombia and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union. Finally, after all that was discussed, it was proposed to clarify the need or irrelevance of making adjustments to the General Data Protection Law of Colombia to be in accordance with international guidelines.
