The patient decided to take the prescribed medication by a medical entity, perform physical activity according to the needs of each individual and attend the control appointments periodically and continuously, avoiding the risk of any loss, as his or her pathology demands. The objective of this research was based on determining the level of adherence to the treatment of patients with arterial hypertension which belongs to the chronic program of San Rafael E.S.E hospitalof the Municipality of El Cerrito. It was carried out a descriptive research with a quantitative cross-sectional approach, with univariate and bivariate analysis, and with a sample of 229 patients enrolled in the arterial hypertension program. it was applied the fourth version of the "instrument to evaluate the factors that influence the adherence to pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments in patients with risk factors of cardiovascular disease", where it was found that the population under study had an advantage situation for adherence of 65% as well as it was found that the most affected dimension is that one related to socioeconomic factors. It is concluded that the level of therapeutic adherence of the population under study does not differ in a large proportion from the international and national panorama that oscillates between 54 and 78%, according to the different studies, being in this study the number of 65% the situation of advantage for adherence.Grado de adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con hipertensión arterial.El grado de adherencia esta dimensionado en la decisión que tiene el paciente para incorporar nuevos cambios en su estilo vida, tomarse los medicamentos prescritos por un ente médico, realizar actividad física según necesidad de cada individuo y asistir a las citas de control de forma periódica y continua, sin riesgo de pérdida alguna, según demande su patología. El objetivo de esta investigación fue basado en determinar el grado de adherencia al tratamiento de pacientes con hipertensión arterial pertenecientes al programa de crónicos del Hospital San Rafael E.S.E del Municipio de El Cerrito. El cual se realizó un estudio descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo de corte transversal, con análisis univariado y bivariado, con una muestra de 229 pacientes inscritos al programa de hipertensión arterial, los cuales se les aplico la cuarta versión del “instrumento para evaluar los factores que influyen en la adherencia a tratamientos farmacológicos y no farmacológicos en pacientes con factores de riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular” donde se encontró que la población objeto a estudio tenía una situación de ventaja para adherencia del 65% como también se encontró que la dimensión más afectada en es la relacionada con los factores socioeconómicos. Se concluye que el grado de adherencia terapéutica de la población sometida A estudio no difiere mucho del panorama internacional y nacional que oscila entre el 54 y 78% según los diferentes estudios, siendo en este un 65% la situación de ventaja para adherencia.RESUMÉN / INTRODUCCIÓN / 1.
