Los ciudadanos cada vez más, pueden con los avances tecnológicos acceder a enormes cantidades de información, que les permite tomar decisiones en diversos ámbitos de sus vidas. Pero, tales decisiones, se ven amenazadas con la circulación de noticias falsas, en especial en las redes sociales como Facebook, que es una fuente informativa muy utilizada actualmente. Y se presente un curioso fenómeno, que ha causado preocupación, y es que se presenta una tendencia muy extendida a que el público desconfié de las fuentes tradicionales de información como periódicos, televisión, cadenas de radio, pero, sí acuden a Internet, especialmente a redes sociales, en las que se origina historias, cuyos datos a veces no son veraces, y difícil contrastarlos con otros. Estas noticias falsas incluso arremeten contra el derecho a la expresión, porque su falta de veracidad, conlleva ataques a otros derechos fundamentales como la intimidad, el buen nombre y la honra. En los estudiantes de nocturno de la Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas y Humanísticas de la UCEVA, se evidencia el uso de Facebook, como fuente de noticias, lo que conlleva el peligro de recibirlas falsas y a su vez reenviarlas, creando una circulación de información no veraz.Information in today's globalized world has become a very important resource for society to make decisions. With technological advances, citizens are increasingly able to access enormous amounts of information, which allows them to make decisions in various areas of their lives. But such decisions are threatened by the circulation of false news, especially on social networks such as Facebook, which is currently a widely used source of information. And there is a curious phenomenon that has caused concern, and that is that there is a widespread tendency for the public to distrust traditional sources of information such as newspapers, television, radio stations, but they do go to the Internet, especially to social networks, in which stories originate, whose data is sometimes not true, and difficult to contrast with others. This false news even attacks the right to expression, because its lack of veracity leads to attacks on other fundamental rights such as privacy, good name and honor.
