El presente estudio analizó la composición, estructura y distribución florística, y evaluó algunos rasgos funcionales en relación con el cambio climático de la vegetación presente en una parcela permanente de monitoreo de 1 hectárea, montada en el Parque Natural Regional El Vínculo, Buga, Valle del Cauca, en el año 2013. Se registraron 1399 tallos con un DAP ≥ 5 cm., descritos en 1193 individuos, representados en 46 especies y distribuidos en 26 familias y 42 géneros. La familia Sapindaceae fue la más representativa por el número de género y de especies y la Fabácea por el número de individuos. El género con más especies fue Eugenia, seguido por Inga y Zanthoxylum. La especie que presentó mayor grado de ramificación basal fue Achatocarpus nigricans. La especiecon mayor IVI fue Machaerium capote, seguido por Nectandra turbacensis, y Sapindus saponaria. La diversidad fue relativamente baja, debido principalmente al bajo número de especies y la distribución inequitativa de las mismas. La especie con mayor dominancia de acuerdo con el área basal fue Machaerium capote, seguida por Sapindus saponaria y Guazuma ulmifolia. La parcela presentó un aporte total de biomasa aérea de 104,29 Ton/Ha. y de captura de carbono de 52,15 Ton/Ha. Las especies registradas presentaron un área foliar entre notofilas y microfilas. El estudio permitió plantear rasgos de monitoreo a largo plazo de la influencia del cambio climático en la vegetación. Se concluye que el bosque se encuentra en un estado de sucesión natural intermedia avanzado, es un bosque secundario maduro con predominio del estrato medio, presenta una heterogeneidad florística acentuada y es un reservorio representativo de la diversidad del bosque seco tropical, con posibles afectaciones estructurales y/o funcionales dadas por alteraciones climáticas.The Valle del Cauca ecosystems have been transformed into a landscape with few and small forest fragments. The present study analyzed the composition, structure and floristic distribution, and assessed some functional traits in relation to climate change in the vegetation monitoring permanent plot of 1 hectare mounted Regional Natural Park El Vínculo, Buga, Valle del Cauca, in 2013. The genus with more species was Eugenia, followed by Inga and Zanthoxylum. The species that showed greater degree of branching baseline was Achatocarpusnigricans. The species with the highest IVI was Machaerium capote, followed by Nectandra turbacensis, and Sapindussaponaria. The diversity was relatively low, this mainly due to the low number of species and the inequitable distribution of the same. The most dominant species according to basal area was Machaerium capote, followed by Sapindussaponaria and Guazuma ulmifolia. The plot presented a total aboveground biomass contribution of 104.29 tons/ ha. And carbon capture 52.15 tons/ha. The species recorded had a leaf area between natofilas and microphylls leaves.
