description Esta revisión de alcance aborda la importancia de la actividad física adaptada y los deportes en silla de ruedas para la población adulta con discapacidad. Se destaca que estas prácticas no sólo ofrecen beneficios físicos, como mejora de la fuerza y la resistencia, sino que también contribuyen significativamente al bienestar psicológico y social de los individuos, aumentando la autoestima y fomentando la socialización. Este documento subraya la necesidad de seguir promoviendo y desarrollando programas de actividad física adaptada y deportes en silla de ruedas para mejorar la calidad de vida y el bienestar de las personas con discapacidad a través de intervenciones con métodos actualizados adaptados a adultos con discapacidad.

Se destaca que estas prácticas no sólo ofrecen beneficios físicos, como mejora de la fuerza y la resistencia, sino que también contribuyen significativamente al bienestar psicológico y social de los individuos, aumentando la autoestima y fomentando la socialización. Este documento subraya la necesidad de seguir promoviendo y desarrollando programas de actividad física adaptada y deportes en silla de ruedas para mejorar la calidad de vida y el bienestar de las personas con discapacidad a través de intervenciones con métodos actualizados adaptados a adultos con discapacidad.This scoping review addresses the importance of adapted physical activity and wheelchair sports for the adult population with disabilities. It is highlighted that these practices not only offer physical benefits, such as improved strength and endurance, but also contribute significantly to the psychological and social well-being of individuals, increasing self-esteem and encouraging socialization.
