Recurso ElectrónicoEste trabajo explora un cuerpo y lo que puede, atravesando por lo oscuro de su piel. La masculinidad del hombre negro se ha visto siempre permeada por prejuicios y estigmas sociales, que le dictaminan cómo habitar y presentar su cuerpo dentro de distintos espacios. Desde allí, se inicia un reconocer de este cuerpo traducido a diversos medios, como el registro fotográfico, el dibujo, el accionar y el vídeo, haciendo así un auto-estudio de sí mismo. Para lograr este re-conocimiento corporal, se hacen una serie de caminatas en Ibagué y en el Valle del Cauca, las cuales constaban de recorrer un tramo de espacio, teniendo un punto de partida, ir hacia delante y retornar (tipo bucle). En el proceso de exploración de maneras de hacer registro, se describen en escritos cortos los estados en los que el cuerpo transita por el espacio. Finalmente se opta por el vídeo cómo medio más acertado para la presentación del caminar, debido a que muchos de los espacios que se recorren se encuentran en distintos sitios, de tal modo que se pueden aprovechar las muchas posibilidades que el video ofrece para transportar un espacio o, un cuerpo a otro lugar, en distintos tiempos. El tiempo se asume como una inquietante a resolver con el cuerpo, pues, si bien en el proceso de edición el tiempo de la imagen en movimiento puede ser alterado, es más significativo el lograr romper con lo vano del tiempo partiendo de las capacidades del cuerpo. Black man's masculinity has been always permeated by prejudices and social stigmas, which rule the ways of how to inhabit and present itself in different places. From there, starts a recognition of that body translated in many medias, like photographic record, drawing, happening and video, making a self-study of itself. To achieve this bodily recognition, a series of walkings are developed in Ibagué and Valle del Cauca, which consisted of walking a stretch of space, having a start point, going forward and returning back. (Loop type) In the process of exploration of ways to record, the states in which the body transits through space are described in short writings. Finally, video is chosen as the most successful means of presenting the walk, because many of the spaces the body walks are in different sites. So, it is taken advantage of the many possibilities that video offers to transport a person or a space, to another place in different time. Time is viewed as a worrisome to solve with the body, even if in the editing process the time of the moving image can be altered; because, breaking the vain of time starting from the capabilities of the body, has more significance.
