Recurso ElectrónicoLa propuesta del diseño de un Complejo Cultural en Ibagué nace a partir de la necesidad de engrandecer la identidad de la ciudad, al indagar en la información tanto histórica como actual de la ciudad se denota la pérdida del folclor y la cultura que desde 1822 fue la forma en que se reconocía a los ibaguereños como lo escribe (Galindo, 2009) La práctica de la música en Ibagué tuvo desde sus inicios un rasgo de oficialidad como en pocas ciudades, su primer episodio lo marca la fundación del colegio San Simón por el General Francisco de Paula Santander, en el año de 1822 […] La clase de música del Colegio San Simón se sostuvo hasta 1893; en esta fecha mediante el decreto 121 del 20 de abril se constituyó en Academia de Música de Ibagué. (p.46) Seguido por la visita y posterior titulación como Ciudad Musical de parte del Conde Gabriac en 1866 que de acuerdo a (Coyma, 2013) “En Ibagué, les encanta la música y los aficionados, los artistas y los virtuosos, enamorados o mendigos se pasean juntos y tocan bajo las ventanas de sus hermosas, como en los viejos tiempos” (p. 24). Una de las mayores necesidades de la ciudad en cuanto a cultura es la falta de equipamientos permanentes para llevar a cabo actividades folclóricas, por eso se propone el diseño del Complejo Cultural que tiene como objetivo brindar un espacio a la cultura, la educación y el esparcimiento, de acceso público que reúna a propios y extraños, teniendo como propósito principal el vincular a los habitantes de la comuna 6,7 y 8 por ser un sector vulnerable y que se encuentra a 9 km de los siete equipamientos culturales de la ciudad (Territorial, 2015). Palabras clave: complejo cultural, identidad, folclor, cultura.The proposal for the design of a Cultural Complex in Ibagué was born from the need to magnify the identity of the city, by inquiring into the historical and current information of the city, the loss of folklore and the culture that since 1822 was the way in which the ibaguereños as he wrote it (Galindo, 2009). The practice of music in Ibague had from its beginnings a feature of officialdom as in few cities, its first episode is marked by the founding of the San Simón school by General Francisco de Paula Santander, in the year of 1822 [...] The class of music of the San Simón School was maintained until 1893; On this date, through Decree 121 of April 20, the Academy of Music of Ibagué was established.
