A su vez, posee como capital a Ibagué, también reconocida a nivel nacional como ciudad musical. A diferencia de otros territorios del país en donde cuentan con sus propios centros de convenciones los cuales generan crecimiento económico, cultural , el ocio y aumento en el turismo, el Tolima no posee una zona de este calibre, es por esto que a través de la arquitectura se diseña este espacio en su Capital, buscando impulsar el marco de su economía hacia un lugar conglomerado de eventos internacionales, foco de visitas extranjeras y locales, y el desarrollo de muchas actividades que le otorguen un valor agregado como distrito de paso y estadía permanente. Por todo lo mencionado nace el proyecto arquitectónico: Centro multipropósito para la ciudad de Ibagué “Serenus”, el cual explora la solución a la falta de campos para realización de las labores y además, promocionando el progreso, la cultura y el crecimiento de la región.Over the years, the Tolima region has been known for its agrarian aptitude, festivities, gastronomic variety and cultural system. In turn, it has as capital Ibague, also recognized nationally as a musical city. Unlike other territories in the country where they have their own convention centers which have economic, cultural, leisure and tourism growth, Tolima does not have an area of this caliber, which is why through the architecture is designed this space in its Capital, seeking to boost the framework of its economy towards a conglomerate place of international events, focus of foreign and local visits, and the development of many activities that provide added value as a district of passage and permanent statistics.
