Recurso ElectrónicoEste proyecto nace a raíz del intercambio académico e intercultural que logré por medio de viajar a Brasil. Estadía que me permitió abordar mi obra plástica desde la realidad del lugar y diferentes percepciones de Latinoamérica. Países como Argentina, Paraguay y el mismo Brasil, me llevaron a conocer la riqueza rural y ambiental de todo nuestro continente. De regreso a Colombia, nace la necesidad de trabajar en nuestra despensa agrícola nacional, Cajamarca – Tolima. A través de algunas experiencias con las comunidades rurales de este municipio, logro un contacto humano más profundo con la naturaleza, con el campo, los cultivos, los alimentos, sus protagonistas y sus actividades. Por medio de ellos, conocí otras realidades desde otro tipo de valores humanos, así obtuve las semillas que dieron fruto a esta cosecha de seis imágenes auténticas del lugar, bajo la técnica de grabado en punta seca. Imágenes que nos hablan de la percepción en las montañas, del contacto humano con la tierra y el alimento, de su cotidianidad, y en especial, de los gestos de línea, que se observan en los cultivos de las montañas, a causa de la intervención de la mano del hombre; dichos gestos de línea se pueden ver reflejados en las fibras de nuestra piel y del fruto, bajo los contrastes de nuestra grandiosa geografía. A través del compartir, escuchar y sentir, percibo uno de los problemas más importantes en el lugar, que a su vez repercute en otras problemáticas existentes: Este gran problema es la minimización del campesinado, de sus actividades, de su humanidad; de esta manera surgen unas condiciones, tanto en el ámbito personal como profesional antes de comenzar mi trabajo plástico, a modo de respeto por el arduo trabajo en el campo. En el proceso del hacer, encuentro algunas maneras poéticas de abordar las imágenes, por ejemplo una de ellas, nace de la condición vital de trabajar con la luz natural que emana el sol y con la luz artificial, descubrimientos que fueron fundamentales en la ejecución de la técnica y que indudablemente, continuarán en mis estudios de posgrado; de esta manera construyo un artefacto solar, que me permite obtener rápidamente pruebas de estado, sin necesidad de pasar las matrices por la prensa de grabado, agilizando con este, la ejecución de los procesos; maximizando dichas imágenes, a diferentes escalas y en espacios arquitectónicos, permitiéndome llevar una porción del campo a la urbanidad y en especial a las plazas de mercado de la ciudad de Ibagué , un intento por hacer eco en la memoria de las personas con respecto a nuestra identidad rural. Estas imágenes tienen formatos de entre 70 cm x 100 cm, hasta 100 cm x 170 m en los grabados, y en cuanto a las proyecciones puede alcanzar hasta 10 m de altura.This project was born as a result of the academic and multicultural exchange that I achieved through traveling to Brazil. This experience approached me to my plastic work from the reality of the place and different perceptions of Latin America. Countries such as Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, took me to know the rural and environmental richness of our continent. Back in Colombia, the need arises to work in our national agricultural pantry, Cajamarca - Tolima. Through them, I came to know other realities from other human values, Then I obtained the seeds that gave fruit to this harvest of six authentic images of the place, images that tell us about the daily life of the countryside, the perception in the mountains, the Human contact with the earth and the fruit which evokes all kinds of questions and reflections under the technique of dry point engraving.
