description The Project management organizational maturity models are considered a useful tool to evaluate the current capacity of organizations to manage and carry out successful projects, including its alignment with the organizational strategy. Through the literature review, it has been built up a new project management organizational maturity model called “Análisis Natural del Ambiente Institucional Sistematizado” ANAIS M2. This new model is based on maturity models such as OPM®, P3M3®, KPM3, P2M, CP3M©; and it is supported by 189 elements of valuation within the new model. Generating the action plan to follow, based on the elements of valuation which are not accomplished resulting from evaluation. Then the new model is tested with shipowner companies in Colombia, between 2013 and 2017, which carried out 907 projects and, as a result of evaluation, are classified as Level 2: Medium according to the ANAIS M2 maturity level. © 2019 Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions. Recurso electrónicoapplication/pdfengLatin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutionshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAtribución-NoComercial 4.0 Internacionalhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://www.scopus.com/inward/record.uri?eid=2-s2.0-85073603480&doi=10.18687%2fLACCEI2019.1.1.385&partnerID=40&md5=e73c3f7dd5eeb1cbb3c05513891a497fScopus2-s2.0-8507360348017th LACCEI International Multi-Conference for Engineering, Education, and Technology, LACCEI 2019Design of a model of evaluation and measurement of organizational maturity in project management and application to companies of Colombian´s shipownersDiseño de un modelo de evaluación y medición de la madurez organizacional en gestión de proyectos y aplicación a compañías de armadores de Colombiainfo:eu-repo/semantics/conferenceObjectinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionConferenciahttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_c94fBest practicesContinuous improvementMaturity modelsProject managementQuality24 July 2019 through 26 July 2019De Anais Suarez Y.A.T.Valencia J.L.T.Sadatsafavi, H., Walweski, J., Study of organizational change management in project-driven organizations using maturity models (2011) De Change Management Global Congress 2011-North America Project Management Institute, , y DallasRabechini, R., (2005) Competências E Maturidade Em Gestão De Projetos: Uma Perspectiva Estruturada, , São Paulo: AnnablumeHeerkens, G., Introducing-the revolutionary strategic project management maturity model (SPM3) (2008) De Methodology, Strategy Global Congress 2008-North America Project Management Institute, , DenverIqbal, S., A unified strategic view of organizational maturity (2009) Project Management Journal, 1 (15), pp. 67-82Ocm, C., (2017) Organización Mundial Del Comercio OCM, , https://www.wto.org/spanish/thewto_s/minist_s/mc11_s/documents_s.htm, O.
