A pesar de los avances recientes en los protocolos de tratamiento, varios estudios han señalado que los pacientes con LES todavía tienen un riesgo general de muertes de 2 a 3 veces mayor. Adicionalmente, existe grandes desafíos a nivel diagnóstico y la búsqueda de biomarcadores que permitan una rápida detención de afecciones como la real. El libro Avances Investigativos en Nefritis Lúpica compila conocimientos recientes sobre la base genética, molecular de la nefritis lúpica, nuevos biomarcadores diagnóstico, su potencial uso y el rol de las infecciones en esta enfermedad. |
