Therefore, there are great possibilities of interfluvial interconnection through channels, but the country has not known how to take advantage of its natural wealth, so there has not been a culture of water seeking its conservation, its better use, and much less an interconnection through river channels. Due to this reason, there are no technical regulations applicable in Colombia to the design of channels / waterways. Considering the above, it seeks to generate a series of guidelines for the conceptual design of navigable channels in the country's waterways, where it is possible to integrate different international references, for which a compilation of international regulations and articles is carried out, then an analysis of this information in order to generate a series of parameters applicable to the country, such as squat, channel depth, channel width and turning radius. These parameters are applied to the stretch of the Meta river that connects the municipality of Mani Casanare with Puerto Gaitán, where a depth of 1.0 meter, a channel width of 26 meters and a turning radius of 69 meters are obtained.Especializaciónapplicaction/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 InternationalAcceso abiertoModelo para el diseño conceptual de canales navegables en las vías fluviales de ColombiaModel for the conceptual design of navigable channels in the riverways of ColombiaCUENCAS HIDROGRAFICASTRANSPORTE FLUVIALwaterwaysnavigable channelsdesigntechnical regulationsriver and lake transportVIAS NAVEGABLESvías fluvialescanales navegablesdiseñonormativa técnicatransporte fluvial y lacustreTesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - Especializacióninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fEspecialización en Gerencia Integral de ProyectosFacultad de IngenieríaUniversidad Militar Nueva GranadaArdila Luna, D.
