(B. Succar and Kassem, 2016). The AEC industry in Colombia is beginning to recognize the value of BIM as a strategic factor to achieve its objectives in terms of costs and quality, but in a very disorganized way. (Ramírez et al, 2018). This problem can be attributed to the lack of unified protocols, which implies generating a change on the four dimensions of the digital transformation of the sector, according to what is stated by CAMACOL: Business culture, resource allocation, human resource training and development of the Regulatory framework. The foregoing seeks to mobilize the players in the construction industry around the digital transformation through the creation of BIM policy, so that they know where, when and how to do it. Therefore, the purpose of this document is to prepare the protocol for the initiation of a vertical construction in Colombia representative of the application of the BIM methodology. Which the author structures under a frame of reference so that the document is understandable and easy to implement. The author himself starts from a qualitative approach derived from the revisions of the conceptual framework of the methodology, linked to the execution plan of the work (programming) and to documentary reviews that can be accessed on the implementation and the information model. Finally, there is a template as a checklist with the result of the protocol to start a vertical construction in Colombia under the chosen frame of reference.Pregradoapplicaction/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 InternationalAcceso abiertoElaboración protocolo BIM para inicio de una construcción vertical en ColombiaDevelopment of a BIM protocol to start a vertical construction in ColombiaINDUSTRIA DE LA CONSTRUCCIONMEJORAMIENTO DE PROCESOSBuilding information modelingProtocolConstruction industryProcess optimizationModelado de información de edificaciónProtocoloIndustria de la construcciónOptimización de procesosTesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - Pregradoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fIngeniería CivilFacultad de Estudios a DistanciaUniversidad Militar Nueva GranadaAram, S.
