description El seguro de responsabilidad (civil y administrativa) de los jueces y magistrados permite amparar los riesgos que genera el desarrollo de la función pública de administrar justicia, cubriendo la responsabilidad que pueda pesar sobre el asegurado, proveniente de circunstancias que se presentan en el desarrollo de su actividad de administrar justicia para los asuntos de su competencia, y de las cuales pueda acaecer una privación injusta de la libertad, error judicial o indebido funcionamiento de la administración de justicia. De manera que con este seguro se pretende salvaguardar el patrimonio personal de quienes eventualmente puedan ser objeto de reclamaciones por concepto de daños y perjuicios con motivo del ejercicio, desarrollo y ejecución de su función de administrar justicia, develándose así, como una de las modalidades asegurativas que a futuro comporta amplias posibilidades de crecimiento en el mercado asegurador colombiano.
