Cuando se habla de experimentación con animales, se puede interpretar como un sacrificio para el resultado de una investigación, lo que puede ser un éxito o fracaso, sin embargo se establece siempre como objeto de estudio los animales y sus diferentes comportamientos, reacciones y resultados obtenidos en el estudio. En este sentido “El empleo de animales en investigación, históricamente reciente en medicina, se ha visto acompañado de controversias y campañas denigrantes. Estos sucesos han hecho reflexionar a los investigadores sobre la concordancia de estas intervenciones con los animales” (Pardo, 2005) y se establecen diferentes criterios desde la ética organizacional y sus prácticas tanto a favor como en contra. En el mundo actual la experimentación animal es una práctica común en algunas organizaciones nacionales e internacionales, dado que esto lleva a desarrollar la fabricación de nuevos productos, lo cual resulta más económico que usar otros métodos porque al realizar las pruebas de productos en los laboratorios, se deben verificar mediante varios experimentos y esto requiere de tiempo, que de algún modo es más desgastante y requiere una cantidad económica alta. Al realizar estas investigaciones, también se logra establecer un punto de vista ético, que es el realizarse solo cuando no se encuentren más alternativas, no se justifica el sufrimiento animal causado, son seres vivos condicionados a realizar sus actividades comunes y que de igual manera se estipula una obligación legal y moral que vela por su bienestar y por ocasionarles un menor daño posible. |
