Metodología: Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo longitudinal analítico, aprobado por el comité ético de la institución, donde se evaluó la capacidad funcional y el dolor a 22 pacientes entre los 19 y 44 años de edad de los cuales 20 son hombres y 2 mujeres, a quienes se les realizó sutura meniscal en el Hospital Militar Central como manejo para lesiones en clivaje, previo a la intervención en el 2008 y posterior a la misma en el 2018, esta evaluación se llevó a cabo mediante el instrumento The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis. Resultados: En este estudio se evaluó un total de 22 pacientes entre los 19 y 44 años con media de 31 años de los cuales 20 son hombres y 2 mujeres, se excluyeron 3 pacientes ya que no cumplían criterios de inclusión. La mayoría de las variables analizadas mostraron diferencia significativa con resultados favorables posterior a la reparación quirúrgica de las lesiones en clivaje. Discusión: Basados en los resultados de la escala WOMAC prequirúrgicos y postquirúrgicos se puede evidenciar resultados positivos en cuanto a mejoría del dolor y la funcionalidad, estos resultados son acordes a la literatura encontrada. Conclusión: Realizar sutura meniscal para paciente con lesiones en clivaje parece ser el mejor tratamiento quirúrgico para la incorporación del paciente a sus actividades cotidianas y disminución de dolor en los mismos. |
