It is essential to know what have been the transformations that a certain municipality has undergone in order to make the right decisions in planning for the future. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to identify and quantify the transformations that the study area has undergone focusing primarily on semi-natural coverage. This study was carried out in the rural and urban area of the municipality of Miraflores (Boyacá) from 2000 to 2021, using Landsat 7 TM/ETM and Sentinel 2B multispectral images. Correction, normalization, and elimination processes were carried out with regards to banding and mosaic generation using the Erdas Imagine 2020 software. Each image was processed through an unsupervised classification where the land cover was identified and quantified for each year analyzed. The results concluded that there was no considerable or significant change on the land covers analyzed. Although there are differences from one year to another, the general behavior of the area has remained the same for 20 years. The predominant coverage in the years analyzed were: Open pastures, with 30% (2000), 30% (2007), 22% (2014), and 21% (2021); Dense Forest, with 20% (2000), 18% (2007), 19% (2014), and 24% (2021); and Permanent Shrubs, with 17% (2000), 16% (2007), 7% (2014), and 12% (2021). In conclusion, the remote sensing techniques used allowed us to achieve the objective set out in a general way with results that were consistent with local knowledge of the study area.Especializaciónapplicaction/pdfspahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 InternationalAcceso abiertoAnálisis multitemporal del cambio de las coberturas vegetales del municipio de Miraflores (Boyacá), desde el año 2000 hasta el 2021Multi-temporary analysis of the change in vegetitative coverage in the municipality of Miraflores (Boyacá), from 2000 to 2021COBERTURA VEGETALANALISIS ESPACIAL (ESTADISTICA)PROCESAMIENTO DE IMAGENESMultitemporal analysisLand coverDigital image processingMiraflores (Boyacá)Análisis multitemporalCoberturas de la tierraProcesamiento digital de imágenesMiraflores (Boyacá)Tesis/Trabajo de grado - Monografía - Especializacióninfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesishttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fEspecialización en GeomáticaFacultad de IngenieríaUniversidad Militar Nueva GranadaKumar, S., Shwetank, & Jain, K.
