description El principal objeto de este trabajo es hacer un análisis de la dinámica que afronta la Educación Superior en Colombia dentro del sistema de mercado y su internacionalización, haciendo un breve recorrido sobre el enfoque pragmático que la sociedad internacional y la Educación Superior Colombiana requieren como gran motor de integración dentro de la economía mundial para lograr el proyecto de bienestar y progreso que finalmente visualiza la nación, a pesar de que Colombia está un poco rezaga dentro de los estándares que exige la OCDE u otras instituciones de carácter económico como académico a nivel mundial, la nación ya adelanta iniciativas y propuestas que buscan hacer que su Educación Superior mejore en aspectos tales como la investigación, la innovación, la inversión y claramente un esfuerzo de la voluntad política colombiana que permitan una clara participación de la Universidad como motor de crecimiento económico dentro de un ambiente que a veces se describe como apático a la educación como parece demostrarlo y los hechos que soportan dicha reflexión.
