Tal es el caso de los humedales, en donde diversos estudios sugieren que tan sólo quedan entre el 5% y el 10% de sus coberturas originales, en donde los múltiples bienes y servicios que prestan se han visto afectados principalmente por la ampliación de la infraestructura vial y los acelerados procesos de urbanización. Como caso de estudio para esta investigación se realizó un análisis multi temporal entre los años 1952, 1990 y 2014 para el humedal Santa María del lago (Bogotá D.C). Para ello se interpretaron las coberturas de uso del suelo para el periodo de tiempo mencionado, encontrando coberturas tales como, Arbustales, áreas endurecidas, espejo de agua, pastos, vegetación acuática y vegetación herbácea. El total del paisaje tuvo un área aproximada de 40,51 ha. Posterior a la interpretación se describieron los procesos espaciales de transformación del paisaje, encontrando que el total de la matriz para los tres años de análisis evidenció un proceso de disección a nivel de paisaje, ya que hubo un aumento en el número de parches y la longitud total del borde, y una disminución en el tamaño promedio del parche. Finalmente el análisis multi temporal mostró que todas las coberturas analizadas presentaron pérdidas y ganancias en términos naturales en el porcentaje de sus coberturas.The transformation of the landscape by anthropic intervention has caused changes in the structure and functioning of ecosystems. Such is the case of wetlands, where several studies suggest that only between 5% and 10% of their original coverages remain, where the multiple goods and services they provide have been affected mainly by the expansion of infrastructure road and accelerated urbanization processes. As a case study for this research, a multi-temporal analysis was conducted between 1952, 1990 and 2014 for the Santa María del Lago wetland (Bogotá D.C). To this end, land use covers for the aforementioned period of time were interpreted, finding coverings such as Arbustales, hardened areas, water mirror, pastures, aquatic vegetation and herbaceous vegetation. The total landscape had an approximate area of 40.51 ha. After the interpretation the spatial processes of transformation of the landscape were described, finding that the total of the matrix for the three years of analysis evidenced a process of dissection at the landscape level, since there was an increase in the number of patches and the length total of the border, and a decrease in the average patch size.
