En distintas áreas del país, se han presentado pasivos ambientales generados por la presencia de infraestructura petrolera sin el respectivo proceso de abandono, necesario en el momento que ha sido finalizada la operación y además, cuando éste ha sido ordenado y/o autorizado por parte de la autoridad competente, denotándose una falta de obligación en la normatividad para que las empresas operadoras petroleras aseguren la ejecución de abandonos técnicos y adecuados de los pozos y áreas operadas. Es por esto que se ha realizado un análisis exhaustivo de la normatividad nacional e internacional vigente que regula el abandono de pozos, con la finalidad de identificar todos los parámetros ordenados para la actividad. Asimismo, se adelantó un estudio de los casos de afectación ambiental en Colombia, plasmados en los informes de auditoría de la Contraloría General de la República, posteriormente se describen los hallazgos evidenciados durante visita a campo a uno de los pozos en cuestión, y finalmente, se plantean una serie de actividades para nutrir la reglamentación. |

This is why an exhaustive analysis of the current national and international regulation that governs the abandonment of oilwells has been carried out, in order to identify the parameters ordered for the activity.
