description El diagnóstico socio ambiental del Área de Perforación Exploratoria (APE) CPO-08 Sur ubicado en los departamentos de Meta y Vichada, Colombia, se realizó con la consulta de bases de datos públicas y Software ARCGIS 10.2 Las restricciones sociales y ambientales consultadas fueron: Áreas Protegidas, Reservas de Ley 2a, Distritos de Manejo Integrado (DRMI), Reservas de la Sociedad Civil, Resguardos Indígenas y comunidades afrodescendientes. Se identificó que la mayor restricción social del área es la presencia de los resguardos Domo Planas e Iwiwi con quienes se debe surtirse el proceso de Consulta Previa. En el componente ambiental no se identificó ninguna restricción.
