Se escogió el poblado de Taganga por ser un poblado que está experimentando mutaciones interesantes para la visión antropológica. Se concluye que existen restos culturales sumergidos y terrestres que evidencian y sustentan un poblado con cultura marítima, en el cual entre otras cosas la práctica de pesca ancestral se ve seriamente amenazada.
