Description
Summary:In a cargo port in the Colombian Pacific, the main objective is the importation of general cargo and solid bulks, in order to meet the internal demand that is not supplied by the internal production of the country. The port currently has an infrastructure enabled for the storage of 159,000 m3 and is connected to a large distribution warehouse in the interior of the country through a 550 KM road where the volumes programmed in the transport and storage plan are transported daily. In the internal procedures of the port(Documents integrated into the management system) all the information on the current transport capacity of the vehicle fleet, vehicle capacity, road restrictions, delivery points, reception points, products, senders, deadline is listed. shipping, etc. Likewise, it is indicated that the projected capacity for the transport of cargo and solid bulks may not exceed the volume approved by the organization, and that the projection must contain the quantities required for month N in firm with the detail of cycles and information on the minimum projections for the next six months. Regarding the above, at the end of December 2020 the plan for the transportation of cargo and solid bulks was defined for a service factor of the road and the respective fleet equivalent to 90%, comparing the capacity of the fleet with mobility restrictions equivalent to 20,300 m3. calendar day and the capacity of the fleet without mobility restrictions which reached the figure of 23,100 m3 calendar day. However, the reality registered in the evaluated system differs substantially from the established programs. At the end of December 2020, the attention of a total of 100 container motor ships and 50 solid bulk motor ships equivalent to a total of 5,950,000 m3 of cargo and solid bulk available for transport is notified. Likewise, the transport of 5,580,000 m3 of general cargo and solid bulk is recorded through the only national road that connects to the central distribution warehouse, which translates into only compliance with the shipment plan equivalent to 15,260 m3 calendar day.
