Considering the amount of rays that come directly from the sun and the heat flow through the pavement, is possible to determine the heat that the plates will absorb. Furthermore, with some laboratory simulations, it is possible to determine the relation between absorbed heat and produced electricity. Nevertheless, we are going to focus on the heat flow through the pavement in three directions, not including here the Peltier plates.En esta tesis, se realiza un modelo numérico en tres dimensiones que refleja el flujo de calor en una estructura de pavimento ubicada en Bogotá con condiciones ambientales variables. Este modelo numérico permite entender este flujo de calor con el fin de implementar en un futuro placas Peltier dentro de la estructura vial, que, en condiciones inversas, permiten convertir el calor absorbido por la superficie del pavimento en energía eléctrica. Considerando la cantidad de rayos que llegan directamente del sol y el flujo de calor a través del pavimento, es posible determinar el calor que absorberán las placas. Además, con algunas simulaciones de laboratorio, será posible obtener la relación entre el calor absorbido y la electricidad producida.
