| Summary: | Las ánimas is a volcano located in the Colombian Andes, between Nariño and Cauca departments, on the Cordillera Central. Here, is laid out a geomorphometric and geomorphological analysis as a primary source of information to raise hypothesis about its evolution. In this connection, is proposed the definition of a hierarchical classification system for geoforms, assigning morphographical and morphometric attributes. Likewise, morphogenic and morphochronologic relationships are established, contributing to systematic geomorphology in continental volcanic zones. In the study area, structural control was identified as highly exercised by regional tectonics, shown by the dominance of trellis drainage pattern and lineaments which rule the run-of-the-rivers. |
