Description
Summary:The creation of pedagogical materials from the scientific approach contemplates several phases to take into account, starting with the initial vision and the expected objectives of the project, pasing through the phases of bibliographic research and design of the material, ending with the final considerations given in retrospect as the project is completed. This project portrays the process of creating an interactive digital pedagogical material that consolidates the sedimentological and stratigraphic conceptual bases to understand the description and interpretation of terrigenous deposits with characteristics similar to volcanoclastic deposits. The resulting material entitled Methodological guide for the description of stratigraphic sections was developed in an online application specialized in the creation of interactive content called Genially (2020). The resulting guide, despite not being able to expose the connection between the characteristics and processes found in epiclastic deposits with their volcanoclastic analogues, was able to consolidate previous knowledge before entering the volcanoclastic environment, as well as to function as a useful tool for consulting various topics related to the description of stratigraphic sections and terrigenous deposits. As final considerations, the implications of developing this type of content and how they can function as an alternative way of learning are also discussed.
