Summary: | Emotional disorders like anxiety, depression and others, share various underlying mechanisms and are characterized by high rates of comorbidity. The Unified Protocol was created to intervene upon these factors and offer tools to patients. This investigation looked to evaluate the acceptability and effectivity of the group Unified Protocol on five female patients whose ages ranged from 20 to 27. These patients sought the therapy services offered by the Centro de Atención Psicológica Casa Espinosa. The investigation used a pre-test post-test quasi experimental design without a control group. The results showed a significant decrease in the scores of the psychological tests designed to measure symptomology belonging to emotional disorders. However, the absence of a control group and the use of a small sample size are limitations to the reliability of the results. |
