Description
Summary:This article addresses the politicization processes of women who are part of the Asociación Campesina del Valle del río Cimitarra (ACVC), to analyze the way in which those processes unfolded and the impact on their leadership. For this purpose, some aspects were identified: the motivations that drove these women to participate in the ACVC, the obstacles that they have faced in their leadership roles and how they have overcome them. This research aligns with an activist and collaborative methodology and a theoretical framework viewed though the lens of gender studies to address the political engagement and realities of the campesina women. Based on the findings it is concluded that the campesina women develop new ways of political participation Which revolve around the concept of ?vereda? and preservation.
