Description
Summary:Más Familias En Acción (MFA) is a conditional cash transfer program that promotes the construction of human capital to end the vicious circle of poverty and break with the poverty traps as well. It operates through a monetary incentive for the poorest families in the country, in order to guarantee access to vital minimums with a focus on health and education. Investing in early childhood, a crucial stage in the physical and cognitive development of human beings, has significant returns for the development of society. In this sense MFA is considered the flagship program of social policy in Colombia for overcoming extreme poverty. The present work makes the analysis of the mentioned program by a contextual and conceptual revision, with the objective of studying the program since its creation and evolution phase, to provide comments and recommendations from the different evaluations carried out so far.
