For this, we propose a statistic model in which there are three production factors: skilled labor, unskilled labor and capital. Automation can displace unskilled work or skilled work. The proposed model suggests that an exogenous increase in the minimum wage creates incentives for goods produced with unskilled labor to be produced with automation technologies or with technologies that are skilled labor intensive. Finally, it argues that the introduction of a minimum wage generates unemployment for unskilled workers and an excess demand for skilled workers in the context in which the labor supply (skilled and unskilled) is inelastic.Investigaciones sobre los efectos de la automatización sobre la composición de la demanda de trabajo se han enfocado en los mecanismos en ausencia de fricciones administrativas. Este documento analiza el efecto del salario mínimo sobre las decisiones de uso de tecnología de las firmas. Para esto, se propone un estático en el cual hay tres factores de producción: trabajo calificado, trabajo no calificado y capital. La automatización puede desplazar trabajo no calificado o trabajo calificado. El modelo propuesto, sugiere que un aumento exógeno en el salario mínimo genera incentivos para que los bienes producidos con trabajo no calificado sean producidos con tecnologías de automatización o con tecnologías intensivas en trabajo calificado.
