Construction of a Glass RPC chamber

This project focuses on the design, construction, and testing of a glass Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC). RPC chambers are known for their high temporal and spatial resolutions, providing efficient and cost-effective means to detect electrically charged particles, such as electrons and muons. Description
Summary:This project focuses on the design, construction, and testing of a glass Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC). RPC chambers are known for their high temporal and spatial resolutions, providing efficient and cost-effective means to detect electrically charged particles, such as electrons and muons. Although these detectors have wide-ranging applications in physics, medicine, and industry, this project specifically explores their potential for atmospheric muon detection. This focus aims to highlight the utility of RPCs to study the atmospheric muon flux and its potential applications in geophysical studies.
