This agreement is led by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities for the purpose of assuring the protection of the patrimonial assets present in the Cathedral. We worked directly with the Music Archive, which contains repertoire in different formats: manuscripts, incunable and printed works from XVI to XX century that remains unknown in the vast majority. That's why this archive is today one of the most complete and best preserved in Hispanic America as well as one of the oldest musical sources for Colombian music. The research was conducted in four phases. First of all, the re-making of a catalogue of the works currently available in the Cathedral's Music Archive...La investigación "Recopilación, transcripción y divulgación del material musical del archivo musical de la catedral Primada de Bogotá" se desarrolló dentro del marco del convenio de cooperación suscrito por la Universidad de los Andes, el Ministerio de Cultura y la Catedral Primada de Bogotá el 24 de noviembre de 2016, que en cabeza de la facultad de Artes y Humanidades busca la protección de los bienes patrimoniales de la catedral. En este marco trabajamos directamente en el archivo musical, el cual contiene repertorio con material manuscrito, incunable e impreso del siglo XVI al XX -que permanece inédito en su gran mayoría- por lo cual se constituye como uno de los archivos más completos y mejor conservados de Hispanoamérica, así como también una de las fuentes más antiguas de la memoria musical colombiana.
